The team

An exciting opportunity has presented itself for an enthusiastic individual to join our Commercial and Procurement Team. This team leads activity across the Council focusing on large infrastructure projects. This role is in the support function of the team, with a particular focus on procurement.

What we’re looking for

The successful candidate will be required to have sound commercial awareness as well as a basic understanding of commissioning, contracting and procurement processes. The successful candidate will also be required to demonstrate they have experience of:

  • successfully supporting others in a fast paced and diverse team;
  • communicating effectively with a wide range of stakeholders;
  • undertaking research, analysis and mapping processes;
  • managing processes including reporting and information requests.

 

We are looking for an individual with drive and enthusiasm for excellent customer service, working efficiently and pushing for continuous improvement. You will need to have a team approach and an ability to stay calm under pressure, as you will be managing demanding and competing priorities, and working to tight deadlines. We need you to take personal responsibility for delivering changes to the way the team operates, and for aiding the delivery of the team vision of achieving commercial excellence.

If so then we want to hear from you. Lincolnshire County Council’s Adult Social Care Community Hospital and Transfer of Care Team is seeking a Level 2 Community Care Officer to join our team in enabling and facilitating safe and timely discharges from Louth County Hospital.

To be successful in this role the candidate must have relevant experience working in a health or social care position. They will need to be creative and passionate about supporting people in a person centred way. Being able to work in a multi-disciplinary team and take responsibility for an allocated caseload under the direction of a line manager/supervisor is a must. The ability to work on their own initiative and to reflect on their practice, ensuring continuous professional development, along with good verbal and written communication skills is essential.

  • Valuing people using strength based models to assess and plan support with people.
  • Identifying eligibility for Continuing Health Care funding and supporting people through the CHC process.
  • Seeing Direct Payments as a way of offering people choice and control in their lives.
  • Understanding the principles of the Mental Capacity Act and Best Interest decision making.
  • Working creatively, using technology, to assess, plan, implement and evaluate people’s aspirations and goals, in a collaborative way.

The teams consist of Community Care Officers, Social Workers and a Lead Practitioner.
